Welsh Kennel Club 2010 Critique

MPD(3,1)

1.Peach’s Elnkayvee Boycee at Kilbourne,very masculine puppy,long,well proportioned head,lovely expression.Well developed body for his age,good depth of brisket.Flowing topline with rise over the loin.Well muscled hindquarters,moved soundly,lovely in profile.

2.Stuart & Holt’s Regalflight Tomahawk at Ollandsheart,appealed in type.Not as forward in development and at present lacks depth of brisket to balance him out.Balanced head,good reach of neck.Good bone substance.Well arched over loin.Not as postive in movement as 1.

PD(2,0)

1.Wragg’s Neroche Irving,typical head with good reach of neck.Strong front with better spring of pastern than 2.Covered the groung standing and had more length of second thigh.Moved beautifully in profile with good reach.

2.Owen & Brodie’s Wolfcastle Draig,heavier type than 1,very simlar in many points and preferred his feet to 1.Well ribbed back and held topline well.Shorter in second thigh to 1 and on the move took a while to get into his stride.

JD(3,1)

1.Peach’s Kilbourne Hamlet,liked his head type and shape.Lovely eyeset and expression.Good reach of neck and shapely body.Balanced throughout with good width of loin.Well muscled hindquarters.Free,light mover.

2.Cheshire’s Kilbourne Hennessy Junior of Deeranwith,litter brother to 1,very similar in overall build,shade upright in shoulder and not upper arm of 1.Good overall shape,flattened out a little in profile movement.

PGD(7,2)

1.McLoughlin’s Graizelund Rock and Roll of Glenhaigh,won here on his type, overall balance and shape.Moved the soundest in the class,holding his shape in profle.Would like a shade more angulation but stood over the ground well.

2.Seymour-Jackson’s Ghiltan Hero,taller and more compact in build.Is well balance and moved soundly,preferred the overall shape of 1 and could have had harder muscletone.

3.Francis & Blatchford’s Cloweswood Acer of Peopleton.

LD(9,2)

1.Barret’s Stranwith Symphony,classic type and shape.I preferred the head and expression of 2 but this dog was much more forward in body maturity.Strong,well set reach of neck,well angulated front with good return of upper arm.Well ribbed with depth and spring.Flowing topline into drooping hindquarters.RCC.

2.Finnett & Heathcote’s Hyndsight Dark Sky,love this head type and expression.Good strength of jaw.Strong,well set neck into shoulders.More compact in makeup and would like a shade more length of second thigh.Moved soundly but not as collected as 1.

3.Spencer’s Gentom Renown.

OD(7,3)

1.Helps’Ch.Greyfriars Gille of Beardswood,masculine,upstanding male who filled my eye.Long head with strength of jaw,strong,well muscled neck.Mature body with lovely spring and depth of rib,carried well back.Broad loins and well muscled hindquarters.I love the scopiness of this dog,yet he is totally collected both standing and moving.Sound as a bell and so light on his feet.CC & BOB.

2.Day’s Demerlay Dorian Gray of Celticmoon,liked his head type and expression,bone substance and overall shape.Not as scopy as 1 but also moved soundly.

3.Finnett & Heathcote’s Hyndsight Keep The Faith.

MPB(2,1)

1.Robertson’s Gentlehun Thyme,sweet baby.Feminine all through and perfectly in proportion.Typy head ,dark eye,neat ears.Good reach of neck well set into strong front carrying back into well shaped body. Well muscled,strong hindquarters.Flowing from nose to tail.

2.Seymour-Jackson’s Cassacre Aelfrida,different type of heavier bone and more compact in body.Long head,good reach of neck and well developed front.Stood over the ground well and held a flowing topline.Unsettled on the move.

PB(6,2)

1.Day’s Celticmoon Shadowmancer,sweetest of bitches,loved her typy head and expression,neat ears.Strong,well muscled neck let into clean shoulders.Elbows well tucked into well developed body.Unexaggertaed hindquarters,Sound,flowing mover.BP.

2.Peach’s Ain’t Miss Behavin at Kilbourne,beautifully proportioned for her type.Clean skull with good eyeset.Neck well let into shoulders.Well ribbed back with broad loin, flowing topline.Hard condition.Moved soundly.

3.Hawkin’s Kwarricott Aurora.

JB(4,2)

1.Bailey’s Greyflax Chrystal,very promising youngster,typy with plenty of scope.Long head and lovely expression and dark eye.Long reach of neck,strongly built front with good upper arm.Well boned down with good well padded feet.Mature body with good depth and spring.Broad ,well muscled loin.Super in profile movement.RCC.

2.Cooper’s Aureole at Chapeltower,smaller build,not as strong in type.Well balanced overall and moved soundly front and back but lacked lustre in deportment and profile movement.

PGB(14,4)

1.Platt’s Charbonnel Fliss,loved her type,head and expression.Good reach of neck and well made front with good bone substance down to the ground.Mature body with strong topline flowing down in to strong,well balanced hindquarters.Moved soundly especially in profile,headed a strong class.

2.Bailey’s Kilbourne Jennifer Juniper to Greyflax,slightly longer cast in makeup,liked her type,strong neck and substance.Scopy body with good shape.Sound mover.

3.Morgan’s Ladygrove Calamity Jane at Amiro.

LB(8,3)

1.Finnett & Heathcote’s Hyndsight Into the Mystic,appeals very much in type,long head with lovely eye,neat ears.Taller bitch than 2 but is well proportioned.Strong,well muscled neck.Strong front of good bone.Mature body into broad well toned hindquarters.Good length of second thigh.Moved soundly.

2.Janson’s Nixophel Crystal Amethyst ShCM.JW,very similar in makeup,but not set of neck into shoulders of 1 also preferred the head type and eye of 1.Typical body shape and outline,strong hindquarters,moved well especially in profile.

3.Carr’s Kilbourne Oh Suzanna with Marandike.

OB(5,1)

1.Owen & Brodie’s Ch.Marandike Ebony’s Choice to Wolfcastle.Gave an overall typical picture.Loved her head and expression,small,neat ears.Broad,well muscled neck well let into well angulated front.One of the best bodies with well sprung rib and furnished brisket.Flowing over the loin,kept her topline on the move.Well muscled hindquarters.Moved with good reach and drive in profile.CC.

2.Bailey’s Greyflax Milly Molly Mandy,pushed hard for the top spot as they were in many ways very similar.Longer cast in body and moved with more width of hindquarters but preferred the head and eye colour of 1.

3.Finnett & Heathcote’s Hyndsight Who’s That Girl.
